As per vastu shastra, any building is divided into 16 zones, each having an independent attribute and impact on human life. These zones and their attributes are derived on the basis of measurements and the presence of specific energy fields in a particular zone. These zones and their attributes together govern each and every aspect of human life. The 16 different zones are namely:
